Deeta
assists organizations to attract, develop and retain talent. She trains
employees to draft development plans and hold development discussions. She
trains managers and supervisors to coach employees. She is a popular facilitator
for communication skills, learning styles, conflict resolution, team building
and change/transition management.
Deeta is active
in the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), The National Career
Development Association (NCDA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
and The American Counseling Association (ACA). A frequent presenter at
national and regional conferences, she has been a popular repeat speaker to the California
Career Conference, International Career Conference, National Career Development
Association Conference, American Counseling Association Conference, the Society
of Human Resource Management Conference, and the Clemson University Professional
Development for Women Conference. She
is regularly featured on the national radio program “The Career Clinic.” Presently she serves on
the board of the Alliance for the Support of American Legion Baseball in Alaska.
Deeta
holds a Master of Education degree in College Student Personnel Administration
from Western Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in German and
Secondary Education from the University of Portland.
She is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Certified Sports Counselor, a
Career Development Facilitator Instructor, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
certified. She was directly trained and mentored by Richard N. Bolles, author
of the best selling book What Color Is
Your Parachute? She
completed the Third International Gestalt Symposium on Systems and Organization
Development and consults internationally.
